- Click the Download Media Player button.
- Select the version from the drop-down box that corresponds to your Operating System, then click on the Download Now button. Note: Do not select any version labeled BETA.
- Select the language version from the drop-down box and then click on the Download Now button.
- In the File Download dialog box, select Save this program to disk, and then click OK.
- In the Save As window, save the file to your Desktop. Do not change the name of the file.
- Click the Save button.
- Depending on your modem speed, the download time may vary. Take note of the file name as you will need to reference the file once download is complete.
Once the download is complete, you are ready to install the player. Close all applications before proceeding with the player installation.
- Locate the file on your Desktop and double-click it to activate the installation.
- When the security warning appears, click Yes to continue installation.
- The program will display an End User License Agreement. Click Yes if you agree to comply.
- After installing the initial program files, specify your Internet connection speed. Choose between 14.4K, 19.2K, 28.8K, 56KModem/ISDN, 112K Modem/Dual-ISDN, T1/Lan, or Unknown/Other. If you do not know your connection speed, ask your network administrator or refer to your modem documentation.
- Click OK.

- Click the Download RealPlayer button.
- At the bottom of the page, click on RealPlayer 8 Basic.
- Make the appropriate selections from the drop-down boxes.
- Click the Download Player button.
- Click on the Download site nearest to you.
- Click on the Real button.
- Once it has downloaded, locate the file and follow the setup instructions.
